Primare's
first products, the 900 series, embodied a true "minimalist
aesthetic" that was in stark contrast to the typical "button-cluttered"
audio components of the day. In 1990, the 200 Series continued
in this tradition and was acclaimed for its innovative and
groundbreaking industrial design. In 1994 Bo left Primare,
and inspired by the design work he had done prior to his
departure, Bent developed the 300 series. Primare was transformed
with the advent of these products. Not only was Primare's
ongoing aesthetic idiom firmly established, but also the
new design approach proved highly successful sonically.
The 300 series Primare products gained immediate consumer
acceptance in the highly competitive European market and
secured best-of-class ratings from all the major audio reviewers.
